My Beautiful World

Year Six pupils have created sculptures as interpretations of the theme 'My Beautiful World' as part of the Northern Education Trust Art project.

Creating with a range of materials they have represented the values and components of their lives, near and far, which they treasure using branches to represent the tree of life.

Working in groups pupils represented a wide range of ideas including:

  • Words and phrases which inspire people throughout their lives
  • Significant aspects of their own lives
  • Respect for, and inspiration from, nature in the widest sense

From such a beautiful forest of sculptures there could only be one winner, this was created by Findlay, Megan, Fallon, Ethan and Danni and is seen in the first two photo slides below followed by images of elements of all of the creations.
